Taranakipine sources all its timber from sustainably managed, renewable Radiata pine plantations in New Zealand – a renewable resource that helps reduce our carbon footprint and supports responsible forestry practices.
We believe timber is the future of sustainable construction. As a natural, renewable building material, it offers environmental benefits unmatched by traditional alternatives. Our operations are designed to maximise the yield from each log, minimise waste, and ensure quality at every stage. We invest in efficient processes and continuously improve our treatment and coating systems to enhance product performance and longevity.
By working closely with local forest owners and suppliers in the Taranaki region, we maintain strong ties to our community and ensure the quality of our raw materials. From sourcing to processing to product delivery, our goal is to leave a lighter footprint while delivering timber solutions that stand the test of time.

Wood shavings and hoggings fuel our boilers for kiln drying. Wood chip, sawdust and shavings are used for animal bedding and dairy shed feedlots. Timber offcuts are sold locally as firewood for domestic heating. Bark is processed locally for garden mulch.
With much of our log supply coming from East Taranaki forests, we support ETEC in their efforts to make Taranaki predator free.
